Coffee and Porridge

Coffee2

So the porridge turned out pretty a ok. The texture was all right although next time around, I’ll add some Blue Diamond almonds and squeeze in some lemon.  The sea salt ones are pretty tasty, if you don’t have a nut allergy or any other objections to nuts.

I’ve been reading more about coffee through the various blogs I’ve visited and the common theme in them was Fair Trade.  “What is this Fair Trade movement all about”, I wondered so I read on.

Basically after reading I got the idea and it makes sense to me.  And this is my interpretation of my findings.

It’s about being aware of where our imports and exports are going, how they are being handled, who is handling them; and at what cost.  These are all things to take in consideration when knowing just where our dollars are going.

It’s things that I’ll be keeping in mind as I make my purchases and take a trip to Trader Joe’s for some of their coffee selections. Until that time it’s Folgers’s  for me.

If you’re a coffee drinker, what’s your “perfect cup?” Black? Cream and sugar? Espresso?

  1. Unless it’s a really special coffee I take it black. It gives the jolt I need in the morning
